## Let it clean itself

Your ionizer runs an **automatic cleaning cycle** on its own schedule to keep the plates and lines clear. When it starts, just let it finish before you draw water again. It is the single most important thing for a long service life, and it happens without you lifting a finger.

## Wipe it and keep it clear

Once a week, wipe the housing and the diverter on your tap with a soft, damp cloth — no harsh chemicals needed. Make sure the drain hose hangs freely and is never kinked, blocked or pushed up against the back wall, so waste water always flows away.

## Mind the filter
